What is MiMo Code?
MiMo Code is an AI coding agent from Xiaomi's MiMo team that runs in the terminal as the mimo command. Like other agent CLIs, it reads your project, edits files and runs commands from plain-language instructions, and you sign in to it with mimo auth login.
Tallos is a desktop agent development environment that installs MiMo Code, opens its sign-in, and launches it in isolated workspaces alongside Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and your other agents.
How do I set up MiMo Code in Tallos?
Open Settings → Connections, install MiMo Code from its card, sign in, and set it as your default agent. If mimo is already on your PATH, Tallos detects it.

Sign in
Click Sign in to run

Make it the default
In Settings → Agents, set MiMo Code as the Default agent so it is pre-selected in every new workspace.

Add a repository, click + for a workspace and describe the task. Tallos creates a git worktree on its own branch and launches
mimothere with your prompt, once its input box is ready.

How do I run multiple MiMo Code sessions in parallel?
Create one workspace per task. Each workspace is a separate git worktree with its own branch, files and terminals, so several MiMo Code sessions can work on one repository at the same time without overwriting each other.
- Status at a glance. Tallos adds a small status plugin to MiMo Code, so the sidebar shows when each session is working or waiting for you.
- Side by side. Split panes in any direction to watch several sessions at once.
- Review per branch. Each workspace has its own diff; comment on lines and send the feedback back to that session.
- Your settings carry over. Tallos mirrors your existing MiMo Code configuration into each session, next to its status plugin.

How do I use MiMo Code alongside other agents?
Add it to a squad: a leader agent plus members, each working in its own worktree. Any detected agent can take a slot, MiMo Code included.
- As a member. Write its job in plain words — “writes the tests for the module the leader assigns” — and set How many copies you want.
- As one of three attempts. In *3 attempts, pick the best*, MiMo Code can try the same objective as two other agents; the leader recommends one result, as in the best-of-three squad.
- As the leader. It plans, dispatches and reports within your limits — 5 rounds and 4 members at once by default, up to 20 rounds and 12 members.
Tallos does not pass a model flag to MiMo Code, so a MiMo member runs the model from its own configuration. Nothing merges without your approval.
Does MiMo Code open in a chat view?
No. MiMo Code opens in the terminal view, with its own interface. The chat view is available for agents whose transcripts Tallos can read, such as Claude Code, Codex and Grok CLI.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate subscription to use MiMo Code in Tallos?
No. MiMo Code uses the account you sign in with through mimo auth login, and Tallos does not resell model access.
Can I save a MiMo Code API key in Tallos?
No. MiMo Code documents no API-key environment variable, so Tallos opens mimo auth login and lets the CLI keep its own credentials.
Why does the MiMo Code card say 'sign-in unknown'?
MiMo Code has no documented command that reports sign-in status, so Tallos can't confirm it from outside. If mimo works in a session, you are set.
Can I choose MiMo Code's model from Tallos?
No. Tallos can't list MiMo Code's models, so pick the model inside MiMo Code; sessions and squad members use that configuration.
Does MiMo Code work in Tallos on Windows?
Yes. On Windows 10+, the Connections page installs MiMo Code with npm, so install Node.js first. The curl installer is offered on macOS only.
Can MiMo Code and Claude Code work on the same repository at once?
Yes. Each runs in its own worktree on its own branch, so their changes never collide. Compare the diffs and merge the one you want.
